Network communication limited circumstances
Hundreds to thousands of sensors are attached to the ship's engines to generate real-time data. However, due to limited network communication on ships underway, this data is transmitted to the control server in the form of a CSV file once every five minutes.

Rapid preprocessing requires reliable collection and storage
CSV files containing large amounts of data need to be quickly preprocessed and reliably collected and stored to enable near real-time monitoring.
Solution
Developed a data collector that maps CSV files according to the rules provided by HD Hyundai Marine Solutions, preprocesses and stores the data in the database, and configures redundancy between the operating database and the backup database.

Stable Operation
The number of target vessels has increased from the initial dozens to hundreds, but it is operating without any issues, just as in the initial setup.

It is now possible to provide shipowners with real-time information about their ships while securing the basis for gaining insights into ship operations through big data analysis.
